What Is Professional Explain Of Class II And Class III Laser Pointer?

Class II laser pointer, its output power is 1 mW. Neither burn the skin, not cause a fire. As the eye reflex will prevent some eye damage, so this type of laser pointers are not considered to the dangerous optical equipment. (For example, when the eye encounters a bright light, it will automatically blink, or turn the head to avoid the strong light, which is called the reflex action or reflex time. During this period of time, this type of laser pointers don’t damage eyes. However, a person will not be willing to stare at it for a long time). A yellow warning label should be placed on this type of laser pointer.

Class IIIA laser pointer, its output power is 1 mW to 5 mW. Will not burn the skin. Under certain conditions, such lasers may cause eye damage.

These laser pointers should have:
(1) laser light, laser pointer that is at work;
(2) should use the power key switch to prevent unauthorized use;
(3) a dangerous label and the output xx label should be affixed on the laser pointer,.
Class IIIB laser pointer ,its output power is 5 mW to 500 mW. When the power is relatively high, these laser pointers can burn the skin. Such a laser pointer, a clear definition of harm to the eyes, especially in the higher power, it will cause eye damage. Such laser pointer must have:
(1) key switch to prevent unauthorized use;
(2) laser light, laser pointer that is at work;
(3) after the power turn on ,there is 3-5 seconds allow the operator to leave the beam path,
(4) is equipped with emergency stop switch, turn off the laser beam at any time;
(5) a red danger labels and the output xx label must be affixed on the laser pointer. (250mw laser pointer shot a light on a red paper, less than 2 seconds to ignite!)
